I make sounds, making sounds makes me happy.
I've always been fascinated by sound and I've been playing and programming synthesisers since the 80s. I consult to and create factory presets & sound content for a range of manufacturers including: Novation, Arturia, Native Instruments, Unfiltered Audio, Kilohearts, 10 Phantom Rooms, Rhizomatic, Tritik, Xils, TAL, Tangible Waves Modular.
I also do bespoke sound design to order for composers and musicians.
I love using tape machines, vintage and modern samplers and some carefully selected software and hardware tools to introduce dust, texture, life, breath and decay into my sounds. The beauty, for me, is in the imperfection.
I wish it went without saying but I create and/or record all of my samples, no use of AI. If you find LLM tools helpful artistically that's cool, but when you're buying a preset pack from me you're paying for my passion, time, attention to detail etc. Not for me to type a prompt or hit the randomise patch button.
